先来看自由选择工作。
这个做法的好处是，人们在自由选择情况下，更倾向于选择自己喜欢的或者擅长的工作，由于工作其实会占据一个人的大部分时间，工作期间发生的事情会影响人们的心情和状态，同时也会产生许多社交关系，因此当年轻人能够在选择自己喜欢的工作，往往会更有热情，心情也会更加愉悦，在工作的推进中也更容易获得成就感。
但是要注意的是选工作主观上的确是自由的，但是并不是做了选择就能够进入相关工作岗位，自己的适应力、实际的能力和企业用人的要求直接影响到是否能够做这份工作。
然后来看考虑实际和未来的观点。
对于年轻人来说，大多数年轻人往往会有能力不够、经验不足、缺乏经济基础等特征。因此实际层面考虑是有必要性的。一方面找的工作是否能力胜任，如果缺乏相应能力，往往也会导致自己失去现在的工作。二是对于大多数人特别是没有积蓄的年轻人来说，收入基本上都来自于工资，因此需要实际考虑这份工作是否能够带来足够的收入，满足自己及家人的物质需求，而且，随着未来恋爱、结婚、生子可能会有越来越多的生活成本，对于收入的要求也会越来越高。
毕竟，如果连基本生活都保障不了，还如何谈论自由呢~

Whether the youth should make their career choices according to what they enjoy doing or in light of realistic factors such as monetary values or future development is a frequent topic of discussion. Although, they are entitled to make their own decision, I personally believe that making realistic and informed choices are more important in the case of job hunting.
Advocates of the idea that career choice should be made according to people’s own will believe that if those realistic considerations are forced on them, they may probably end up being miserable. Work is where people socialize, challenge themselves, gain leadership skill, get alone time, learn to work with others, make accomplishments, get job satisfaction or more, all of which do make it important to do the job they love, find one that is a good fit for their interests, aptitudes, work-related values and personality type. If people look closer, they may discover a range of skills and experiences that come with the passing of time on the job. In this case, they are more likely to prosper in their work as they enjoy the majority of the job duties.
However, in the case of job hunting, they cannot afford to ignore certain realistic factors. In fact, job is a means to an end; a person works just enough to support other hobbies, interests, and family relationships in their lives. In addition, the ability to pursue careers may also hinge on the financial situation as some career paths require special schooling and qualifications and this is sometimes expensive. Secondly, before a job decision is made, a realistic job preview, which will look into the positive and negative aspects of a job to give an applicant an insight into what to expect. This helps reduce employee turnover, and they will be less likely to experience disappointment or confusion.
In conclusion, for some, work forms their identity and reason for being. Ideally, personal preference and work fit blissfully together. Yet in the real world, most of the people fall somewhere in between. Work is about a search for daily meaning as well as daily bread, for recognition as well as cash.
