二是对于雇主来说,员工能够在家办公,意味着可以节省掉办公室成本,包括房屋租赁、水电、清洁费用等等。对于企业来说,房租可能是不小的一笔成本支出,节约下来即意味着雇主可以拥有更多的利润。
三是近一年的疫情防控中可以发现,在防疫要求居家不外出的情况下,如果员工能够在家远程办公,意味着公司在疫情的冲击下,依然能够维持业务的运作,而不至于全面的停止。

It is sometimes argued that working from home is only in favor of the employees but not the employers. I disagree with this idea and would like to argue that being able to work from home with modern technology is undoubtedly an advantage for both parties in concern.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that working from home can bring a lot of convenience to workers. Firstly, a massive amount of time spent on commuting and getting ready for work, especially for those who put on makeup every day, can be saved if workers can stay at home instead. Secondly, not having to show up at the office allows much more freedom in people’s choices of residential locations. For example, a couple who work far from each other will be able to live together without anyone having to make the sacrifice of traveling long distances to go to work; and someone who works downtown where the rent is incredibly high can save money by living in the suburban area with the inconvenience of commute erased. Thirdly, workers can make themselves as comfortable as possible when working from home, which is a privilege they do not have in the usual workplace.
On the other hand, employees working from home can also be beneficial to employers in a variety of ways. One main benefit is that the cost of office maintenance can be greatly saved. For instance, the utility bills and salaries for cleaning staff can add up to a huge number every month, and the companies’ financial conditions could be improved if the cost can be saved. If the home-based work situation can be turned into a long-term strategy, the companies will not even have to pay rent for any office buildings. Another benefit is that working from homes makes it easier for companies to avoid pandemic-related chaos, especially during the tough time now with covid-19 raging through the world, which can cause damage to the companies’ wellbeing in every aspect.
In conclusion, it is my point of view that working from home brings advantages to both employees and their employers at the same time.
